Lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries

Description

The most commonly used types of Li-ion cells are those of 18650 or 21700. They have different capacities, service life (charge cycles) and maximum charge / discharge currents, depending on the chemical composition used.
These batteries are characterized by a long service life, relatively small dimensions and high energy density. They are widely used in the electromobility industry. By building a case, which even consists of several hundred cells, you can get large power banks. Li-ion cells in button cell housings, such as the LIR2016 or LIR2032, are also becoming increasingly popular. It is an alternative to primary cells. When used correctly, they can last up to 300 charging cycles.
